After 10 years and 3 months, the market is now closed due to the venue not meeting the new earthquake standards for a large scale event.

We are working on finding new venues where we can meet you as our loyal customers but in the mean time do shop essential oils online for the same great products as you found on the market with us.

The Underground market is a free undercover event in the heart of Wellington’s picturesque waterfront. Grab some delicious ‘street food’ and an organic fair trade coffee while you come and vist AromaSense on the underground market Find us under Frank Kitts Park, Jervois Quay.

Something for Mum

A huge bumper market the Saturday before Mothers Day. Gorgeous local designer clothing and beautiful, unique jewellery and accessories. Treat your Mum or yourself, before enjoying a tasty lunch from one of our gourmet food stalls.

Wonders of Wool

Come and get your wool on! The Underground Market is hosting a large variety of stalls selling yarns, wool craft supplies and garments – a one-stop-shop for all winter craft projects and clothing. Everything from gloves and hats to jerseys, scarves and felted jackets, felting wool and knitting yarn. Over 70 stalls filled with the loveliest offerings of the woolly kind by local craftspeople, as well as all your weekly favourites. Held annually on the 2nd Saturday in June every year, in conjunction with the World Knit in Public Day.
