Safety

Do not apply Trauma Oil to broken, ulcerated, or otherwise open skin as the infused arnica that is part of its formula can cause irritation.

Trauma oil is composed from three herb infused oils: Arnica infused oil, Calendula infused oil and St. John’s wort infused oil.

Arnica infused oil
Arnica, Arnica Montana, grows in the high mountains of Northern Europe. Translated from German it literally means ‘mountain wellbeing’. The herb is infused in a carrier oil and used for injuries, when the skin is not broken, such as bruises, rheumatic muscle and joint problems and swellings, including bone fractures.

Calendula infused oil
Calendula, Calendula Officinalis, is a native of the Mediterranean region, and the whole flower blossom is infused in a carrier and is used for medicinal purposes.
Calendula has anti-inflammatory vulnerary properties, making it useful for wounds, skin inflammations and varicose veins.
It is especially effective in treating skin problems such as rashes, cracked skin. It makes an excellent base for treating sunburn, abrasions, burns, insect bites and eczema.
Calendula oil has also been used for treating venous complaints. When applied consistently, calendula decreases the symptoms of varicose veins and venous congestion by inhibiting inflammation, toning tissue, and promoting enhanced blood supply to tissue.

St. John’s wort infused oil
St. John wort is a timeless herb for comforting muscles, joints, skin complaints, as well as lifting the heart out of a low mood.
St. John’s wort infused oil is used in massage to relieve sore neck, release stress in the evening, comfort an acute skin problem.
