Ways to use basil essential oil

Inhalation

To stop vomiting and calm down your stomach try slowly inhaling basil essential oil, a drop or two on a tissue. You may add a drop of peppermint essential oil too.

Massage

If a headache is stress or tension related it is good to use 1 drop of basil essential oil in a spoon of carrier oil such as grape seed and rub the blend on the neck.

Diffuser

If you are feeling stressed or burnt-out try to diffuse 6 drops of basil essential oil. You can also blend the oil with rosemary, eucalyptus or lemon essential oils, two drops each.

Cellulite reducing blend

Mix 4 drops of basil essential oil with

5 drops of cypress essential oil

5 drops of lemon essential oil

5 drops of rosemary essential oil

in 30 ml of grape seed oil.

Massage the blend into the cellulite areas. Work deeply into tissues to help smooth dimpled skin.

Mood uplifting blend

Mix 3 drops of basil essential oil with

5 drops of lemongrass essential oil

5 drops of geranium essential oil

2 drops of lime essential oil

in a table spoon of sweet almond oil.

Massage the blend into the upper chest, back of the neck, and shoulders.

Refreshing blend

Mix 3 drops of sweet basil essential oil with

5 drops of spearmint essential oil

3 drops of lime essential oil

3 drops of rosemary essential oil

3 drops of eucalyptus essential oil

3 drops of bergamot essential oil

in 30 ml of jojoba oil.

Massage the blend into the back of the neck, the shoulders, and along the back.

Studying for exams blend

Mix 5 drops of basil essential oil with

5 drops of rosemary essential oil

5 drops of lemon essential oil

in a table spoon of coconut oil.

Before studying, massage the blend into the back of the neck and shoulders. On the day of the exam, apply on a cotton ball inside a plastic bag and seal tightly. Bring the bag with you and inhale the aromas deeply before and during the exam.

Travel comfortably blend

Mix 3 drops of basil essential oil with

5 drops of grapefruit essential oil

5 drops of lavender essential oil

3 drops of thyme essential oil

3 drops of clove essential oil

1 drop of geranium essential oil

in 30 ml of grape seed oil.

Massage the blend into the abdomen, chest, back, and shoulders, before travelling.
