Christmas is something we start dreaming about long before it comes. Everybody has their own special memories about Christmas, and the most precious are from our childhood.

Christmas and essential oils have a special affinity as Christmas is all about smells and aromas. Some aromas and scents remind us about childhood and Christmas right away when we smell them. It could be anything like herbs, trees, citruses, cinnamon, chocolate, flowers. I am sure you have your own favourite ones.

I will tell you about my festive diffuser blend which I composed purely to recreate my childhood memories. Fir has a very special fresh balsamic aroma without which I cannot imagine Christmas at all. I blended cypress, cedarwood and Siberian fir to cover the richness of the woody smell which fills the house with the freshness and cleanses the air in the room. Next comes mandarin with its sweet citrus aroma. Mandarin will be the seasonal fruit which for me associates with winter. Then comes a hint of juniper berry and a twist of vanilla, both are used in the cakes and tarts and cookies. So, if you are on the same wave with me, then my Christmas Season essential oils blend will be a great synergy to diffuse when your family will gather for the festive celebration.

If you are in a creative mood, try the following essential oils: bergamot, eucalyptus, frankincense, rosemary, lemon, sweet orange, cedarwood, grapefruit, cinnamon, clove, lime, sandalwood, or spikenard and vetiver if you love earthy scents. Add about 5-10 drops in total of three oils of your choice to your diffuser.
