Healing Creams
Healing creams
Skin is a vital organ of our body which provides protection, regulates our body temperature as well as receptor of information about the environment by means of nerve endings.
But skin is also an important part of our appearance.
How our skin looks depends on many factors including what we eat, how we sleep and how we take care of it.
Probably the most important thing to do is to drink plenty of water. Water molecules help hyaluronic acid in connective tissue to bind to skin’s cells making the skin look plump and smooth.
The basic skin care ritual includes cleansing, toning and moisturising. The first two stages prepare the skin for the last stage – moisturising or providing the skin with nutrients and sealing them in skin tissue.
Creams with aromatherapy oils are healing creams. Whether skin condition is a result of internal disharmonies or external influences aromatherapy oils can treat both due to alterative, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, cicatrisant (cell renewal), and vulnerary (wounds healing) activities of the oils.
Cream easily stays on the surface of the skin for many hours, creates a protective film and seals the moisture inside. Cream provides a barrier between the skin and the environment to protect and promote healing.
Our day cream is designed for dry, dehydrated and mature skins. The skin is dry when it shows insufficient activity of sebaceous glands. Dry skin can also be dehydrated. It lacks the ability to retain moisture as oil in the skin acts as a barrier against moisture loss.
Dry skin tends to be thin and overly delicate. Its condition is badly influenced by the sun, wind and heat. Insufficient skin care especially during the day further worsens the problem.
Aromatherapy oils such as rose, ylang ylang, palmarosa, rose geranium, helichrysum, rose hip, camellia and wheatgerm have excellent emollient, hydrating, antiseptic, balancing the moisture and sebum production, anti-inflammatory, reducing redness, regenerating tissues, promoting the formation of skin cells qualities. Regular massage will increase circulation in the capillaries that nourish the skin, and this in turn will improve the whole skin health.
Our day and night emu cream is formulated for sensitive and combination skins. Sensitive skin reaction can express itself as redness, itching and burning. Combination skin can be dry, oily and sensitive. Aromatherapy oils such as jasmine, ylang ylang and vetiver have an oil and moisture balancing as well as conditioning and irritation soothing properties. Emu, grapeseed and apricot oils are soothing and healing for sensitive or inflamed skins.
Our night cream possesses replenishing and reviving properties. It has a bit richer consistency and a formula working on the skin healing and renewal. Aromatherapy oils such as carrot seed, frankincense, neroli, sandalwood and patchouli are cell regenerating, healing, rejuvenating, moistening and soothing.
Wheatgerm oil is particularly rich on vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It promotes the formation of skin cells, improves blood circulation, helps relieve symptoms of dermatitis.
All three formulas are rich but gentle, lightweight but nourishing, balancing and healing. The skin feels restored and looks radiant. This is how we want your skin feels and looks.
