DIY Lip balm recipe

This lip balm is good for protecting and healing your lips from damage by cold winds and temperatures.

Use one of your favourite essential oils, such as chamomile, rose, lemon or any of the mints in this lip balm recipe


  1. 1/4 cup of a carrier oil of your choice
  2. 7.5 ml shaved beeswax
  3. 10 drops essential oil


Place the carrier oil in a pan and warm on low heat; add the beeswax and stir until it melts.

Cool the mixture slightly before adding the essential oil.

You can purchase small tin containers at pharmacies or various retail outlets for storing your lip balm.
